Carers Rights Day 2025 – Know Your Rights, Use Your Rights Support

Carers Rights Day is fast approaching on Thursday 20th November – a national awareness day dedicated to ensuring unpaid Carers understand their rights, know where to get help, and feel supported in their caring role.

Across Dorset and Wiltshire, partners are coming together to host a variety of online and in-person events offering advice, information, and wellbeing activities for Carers.

A full programme of events will be available soon on the Our Dorset website, our own Forward Carers online calendar in Wiltshire, and the Carers Together Wiltshire events – so keep an eye out and get involved!

Set within a peaceful, natural environment, my private practice offers a warm and protected space where Carers and individuals from all walks of life can pause, breathe, and focus on their own needs. My approach is person-centered and grounded in phenomenology, meaning I prioritise each client’s unique lived experience and explore what feels most meaningful to them.

Having been a Carer myself, and continuing to care for my elderly parents, I understand both the rewards and the challenges of the role. Therapy offers a space to acknowledge their resilience while discovering new ways to cope and care for their own wellbeing. Whether it’s developing strategies to manage stress, finding moments of balance and rest, or simply having a place to be heard, I aim to help Carers feel supported and valued.

My work is about ensuring that those who care for others feel cared for, too.
