Carers you are agreeing to how your information will be used, stored, and accessed
in line with the below terms and conditions.
Forward Carers is a partnership of organisations, whose aim is to improve the
physical and mental wellbeing of carers, young and old, including parent carers.
Forward Carers is committed to protecting your Personal Information. We promise to
be clear about the information we collect and the ways we use it. Regardless of
whether you use our services, request information from us, work for, or volunteer
with us, we respect your right to privacy.
In order to provide your Carer Friendly ID card and access to Carer Friendly
discounts and offers, we collect personal and /or sensitive information about
you. This allows us to register you for your card and to send you relevant information
about the offers and discounts you are entitled to. If you wish to, you can
unsubscribe from your Carer Friendly offers email at any time by clicking the link in
your email.
Your information will be saved and stored securely on Forward Carers’ management
systems. We are committed to ensuring that your Personal Information is secure. To
prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical,
electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the Personal
Information we collect. These steps include the following:

- Password best practice
- Security best practice concerning devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices),
online accounts, website hosting, physical access, and storage - Staff training and accountability on data protection
Any information you provide to us is confidential and kept in accordance with the

This service is provided for adults aged over 18 years and people under this age
should not provide us with personal information.

Forward Carers operates this service which is provided on behalf of Dorset Council
and BCP Council who are the Data controllers.
Therefore, your data could be shared with them in the case of best interests or if we

If your company joins the Carer ID Card discount scheme, some of the information
you provide may be used to create a directory listing on Forward Carers website.
The information that is stored about your company by the website, if approved by
you, is limited to:
- Logo or image
- Address
- Website Address
- Phone number
- Your offer
- Name of business
